# Search and answers

> How readers find pages and get answers with sources.

Every help center has one box for both: **Ask anything, or search for a page**. Readers can open it from any page with ⌘K, or Ctrl K on Windows.

## Search

As a reader types, matching pages appear. Search covers your published articles, web pages, and PDFs. It is free and does not use credits.

## Answers

When a reader asks a question, chat.sh writes a short answer from your sources:

- It uses only what is in your workspace.
- Each claim is numbered, and the number links to the page it came from.
- When your sources do not cover the question, it says so and suggests contacting support.

Each answer uses one AI credit from your monthly allowance.

## Getting better answers

Answers are only as good as the sources behind them. The quickest improvements:

- Give each article a clear title and a one-sentence description.
- Write one article per question rather than one long page for everything.
- Add the web pages and PDFs readers already rely on.
