Import a text or Markdown file
Turn a .txt or .md file into a new article.
If you already have docs in text or Markdown, import them instead of retyping.
Import a file
- Open Help center.
- Select Add a new source, then Create a new article.
- Select Import .txt or .md under the editor, or drop the file onto that button.
- Check the title and body it filled in, then pick a collection and a status.
- Select Save.
Files can be up to 1 MB. Headings, lists, links, and code blocks in Markdown come through as formatting.
One file, one article
Each import fills one new article. For several files, import them one at a time.
